With humble beginnings in our little restaurant kitchen in Hood River, OR, we never imagined that our mother’s recipes would reach thousands of homes across the country. We’re Lisa and Maly, sisters and co-founders of Sao Noi, with our mom Marnie in 2015. “Sao Noi” is an homage to our mom and translates to “little girl” in Lao; she is the youngest of eight. To compliment our specialty beef pho, our mom served her homemade chili oil on the side—what an instant hit that was!
Sao Noi manufactures SE Asian-inspired chili oils. Many Asian chili oils on the market contain artificial preservatives and common allergens. We formulated a recipe with wholesome ingredients that are all-natural and gluten-free, with flavor profiles remaining true to our cultural roots. Our chili oils are vegan and gluten free. Subsequently, we introduced beef jerky to our product line as this is one of the best mediums to highlight our chili oil flavors. Our gluten-free jerky is sourced within the U.S. using the finest top round beef.
