I am The Patron Saint of Knives, a professional knife and scissor sharpener serving the Vancouver and now The Farmers Market community for the past six years. What began seventeen years ago as a personal meditation on precision and focus has grown into a deeply satisfying vocation—restoring tools, honoring their purpose, and serving the people who use them. Our approach is more than mechanical; it’s a focused search for the liminal edge, where sharpness meets intention.
This year, I’m joined by Ani, my dedicated apprentice, whose talent and discipline now carry our craft forward both at the home workshop and at the market. Ani will be sharpening on Saturdays, while I’ll continue to serve on Sundays. Whether you’re a home cook, a vendor, or a collector of well-worn blades, we invite you to bring us your tired, dulled knives—we’ll return them transformed, sharper than new.
