Amy Burgess is a Pacific Northwest jewelry artist and metalsmith with 15 + years experience. She’s been selling at the Vancouver Farmers Market for the last 10 years. She hand crafts jewelry in her art studio, surrounded by trees, on five acres in the mountains of SW Washington. Using various metalwork techniques, she hand forges and patinas brass, torch fires enamel on copper, wire wraps gemstones, solders sterling silver and 14 kt gold fill. Her favorite technique involves torch firing enamel, which fuses powdered glass to copper to create a vibrant, glass finish. Amy’s work can be found in boutiques nationwide, including several McMenamins and at juried art shows. Amy also teaches jewelry and stained glass classes.
