All products sold at the Vancouver Farmers Market must be made or grown by the business applying. Please note that resellers, wholesalers, multi-level direct sellers, franchises, and service-based businesses are ineligible, and will not be considered.

We do not offer drop-in schedules. All businesses must apply and be approved for a specific market. You are not required to come every weekend, but must schedule dates when you apply in accordance with our attendance policy.

We receive hundreds of applications each year, and we carefully evaluate each one based on factors such as the current product mix, shopper demand, available space, and how well the business aligns with our market’s values. While we aim to support as many local businesses as possible, we may not be able to accept every application, but we encourage you to apply again in the future as availability may change.

What does it mean when a category is full?
A full category means we currently have enough businesses offering a specific type of product to meet shopper demand. We also consider the resources needed to support new businesses (such as space or utilities), which can limit how many businesses we can accept in certain categories. Category availability can change each season, so we encourage you to stay in touch!

We typically review applications and respond within 2-4 weeks. We aim to finalize all approvals and schedules at least one month before the market season begins. Keep an eye on your email (including spam folders) for updates!

We are not currently accepting service-based businesses (e.g. chiropractors, tattoo artists, etc.), as VFM focuses on businesses selling handmade or locally produced goods. However, you may qualify as a daily sponsor! Click Here to learn more.

Yes! While businesses that don’t sell handmade products don’t qualify for traditional vendor membership, we offer several ways for local businesses and organizations to support the market through sponsorships or gain access to booth space. This includes Market Sponsorships and free booth space for nonprofits and government agencies to promote their mission, fundraising efforts, and community events. Click Here to learn more.
